On today’s podcast, I’m interviewing entrepreneur, Dragon investor, and new podcast host Manjit Minhas! I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t starstruck while interviewing Manjit since I am a huge fan of CBC’s Dragon’s Den. I couldn’t be more excited to share with you our conversation from how she became an entrepreneur as a young engineering student, to behind the scenes of Dragon’s Den as well as her newest venture as host of her podcast, The Manjit Minhas Podcast.
Manjit Minhas is the co-founder and owner of Minhas Breweries, Distilleries, and Wineries with her brother Ravinder Minhas. Since starting her business at the ripe age of 19 years old, Manjit has gone on to grow her business portfolio, which includes over 30 Canadian businesses stemming from the 6 seasons she’s been a Dragon investor on CBC’s Dragon’s Den. In November 2020 she decided to hit record on her conversations with fellow business leaders and CEOs by way of her podcast, “The Manjit Minhas Podcast” so that she could share their stories and insights into achieving success. She currently resides in Calgary, from which she was born and raised with her husband and two young daughters.
Manjit believes there isn’t one set path to becoming an entrepreneur and her story is a great example of that. As long as you’re keen to learn and have the self-awareness to know what you don’t know then you’re already on the right path.
