The answer is… yes! After taking 7 courses and passing 6 exams over the past 5 years, while somehow managing to continue running my business and write a bestselling book, I’m excited to finally share that I’ve passed the exam and can now officially called myself a Qualified Associate Financial Planner™ (QAFP®)!
You have no idea how relieved I feel. As someone who was never really good at math and lacked a lot of confidence with my own financial literacy over the years, there was always a little voice in the back of my head saying I couldn’t do it. But if you know me, I love to prove anyone (even little made-up voices in my head) wrong and show them that I can do anything I set my mind to.
So, what does this mean for me moving forward? I haven’t taken on any new financial counselling clients for a few years (largely because I was busy book writing), but I’m not ready to open the doors to new clients quite yet. I’ve got a few ideas for how I want to integrate this new designation into my business, but I’m going to take the final weeks of this year to really think about what that looks like. So stay tuned for some exciting announcements in 2026!
