I wasn’t sure I should write a post like this. I rarely comment on world events or politics on here, and I generally prefer to focus on the positive and offer practical solutions to the problems we all face in our financial lives.

That being said, I’ve honestly never seen the world like this before.

I’m not sure about you, but in the past month or two it’s felt like everything’s been turned on its head and chaos is starting to take centre stage.

And I’m Canadian…living in Canada! I’m only getting an outsider’s view on what’s going on in the U.S., so I can’t imagine what it must be like to be right in the thick of it.

Listen, no matter what your political views are, it’s impossible to ignore that big changes are happening. And when one big change happens in the U.S., it doesn’t just affect the U.S. It affects everyone. The entire world.

And what that means to me is that there’s no time like the present to start paying attention, making a plan and taking action when it comes to your well-being.

I’ve always been one of those people who doesn’t feel safe or at peace until I’ve got everything organized and I’ve got a plan.

That’s a big reason why I got into personal finance in the first place. Once I figured out how to manage my money properly, it made me feel secure. It helped me not worry so much. It gave me hope for my future. It made me believe things would get better.

I also felt like I could make a bigger difference in other people’s lives when everything in my life was settled. You know how you’re told to put your oxygen mask on first before helping your neighbour on each flight? It’s sort of like that. Unless you’re good in your life, you won’t be as effective in helping anyone in theirs.

With all this being said, and to keep true to myself by spreading positivity and offering practical solutions, I spent all of yesterday making something just for you.

I’m calling it the Get Your Financial Life Right Challenge.

If you’re craving safety, certainty and some much needed sanity during this unsettling time, or if you want to make a difference in this world but need to make sure you’re good first, that’s exactly what this is for.

It’s a free 10-day email challenge that goes through everything you should do to get your financial life on track.

These are all things I’ve been doing myself for years, and sometimes it’s what I cling to when my life is beyond stressful and chaotic (e.g. me quitting my job). And it’s what I still cling to as I begin my new journey into entrepreneurship.

I may not know what the future holds, and I know most of what goes on in the world is beyond my control, but the one thing I do know is that we should all take better care of ourselves and do what we can to help one another.
