Hello again and happy Friday everybody! To continue Wednesday’s post, my HB and I did end up driving through Fargo, unfortunately this was the only sign we passed by that said its name. It was still pretty neat seeing the city’s name on a sign though, even if I couldn’t get out of the car and pose near it. The city itself just looked like a normal city, but maybe it’s because it wasn’t winter and Steve Buscemi was missing?
The rest of the drive from Minot, North Dakota to Fergus Falls, Minnesota was basically just a long stretch of farms, a few small towns in between, and lots of sun. I’m not exaggerating when I say the right side of body looks like I just got back from Mexico and my left side looks it was in hibernation all year-long. The annoying thing is I’ve been using 70 SPF sunscreen on my right side but it still does nothing!
Although the drive wasn’t too exciting to Minnesota, one thing we did see along the way was a deer that got hit by a car. Actually all we saw was a deer in the windshield of a car. The people in the car were talking to the cops on the side of the road so thankfully no one got hurt. Except for the deer, obviously.
That night we ended up staying at a hotel called The AmercInn. Basically I found it online, it was cheap and had good reviews, and it was called The AmericInn so I needed to stay there. It was an okay hotel all in all. It was older and the free breakfast was, well, you get what you pay for, but we both had great sleeps so we’re glad we stayed there.
We set off the next day for Madison, Wisconsin and I think the road trip finally started getting to us. Since last Thursday we’ve been on the road, sleeping in a new city every night, and driving everyday for 5 – 7 hours a day can definitely take a toll on you. Luckily we only have a 2 hour drive to Chicago today and we might stay more than one night since we’ve always wanted to check this city out and don’t need to be in Toronto until July 1.
Well, that’s about it for now, more to update you all on next week! Thanks for reading and commenting while I’m on the road too!
