Looking for a moving-out checklist to help you with your next move? I’ve got you covered with my free downloadable moving-out checklist. When I was about to move out of my parent’s place, I honestly didn’t have a clue about what I needed to get for my new place. I mean, I knew I needed the essentials, like plates and bowls, but when it came to all those important yet random things, like bath mats and lint rollers, I really didn’t know where to start.

As a true millennial, I turned to Google instead of asking my parents for help and for answers. Unfortunately, no matter how many variations of “Moving Out Checklist”, “A List of Things You Need When You Move Out” or “What to Buy When Moving Out” I searched, I could never find anything that had everything laid out for me.

Fortunately for you, after doing it the hard way and moving more than 6 times in 6 years, I’ve made my very own moving-out checklist. Actually, it’s the ultimate moving-out checklist. It literally has everything you could think of on it, and I’ve even made it easy for your to print and check off while you’re shopping at IKEA, Costco, or the dollar store (because those places are seriously amazing when you’re moving out!)

I hope this helps you as much as it has me. And please let me know if you have anything to add. I’ll be honest, there are plenty of things on this list you could happily live without (it won’t kill you to go without a muffin baking pan), but it might be good just to have around in case you need it down the road or someone asks you for help right before they move out on their own for the first time. Enjoy!

I’m moving in two months for the first time and I’m definitely printing this out! It’s so good when you start with a plan, but it’s much better when someone did it for you, lol, thank you so much! 🙂

Thanks for the checklist printable! I’m moving in the beginning of the next year and I’m still planning and looking for helpful information to make my move easier. Your links and advices are great and it’s good to have such useful information for a smooth and less stressful move. I hope I’ll not have too much problems when the time comes. Wish me luck. Greets!

  4. Place one plate in the center of your packing paper and take two sheets of paper at one corner and pull the paper over the plate so as to completely cover the plate.
